Ardından, Fellini’nin gençliğindeki bu palyaçoları Paris’te aramaya koyulup başlarına neler geldiğini öğrenmeye çalışmasıyla film, anlatıdan ve düşsel havasından uzaklaşıp daha belgesele yakın bir yaklaşım benimser.
