Bu süre içinde bir erkek bulması, onu kendisine aşık etmesi, sonra da kendisinden bıktıracak klasik flört hatalarını yapması gerekmektedir. Bu görev için hedef seçtiği Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey) adlı reklamcı gencin durumu da başka bir alemdir. O da kendi patronuyla iddiaya girmiştir ve istediği kadını 10 gün içinde kendisine aşık edebileceğini ileri sürmektedir.
